Welcome to The Hive Play. By using our website, visiting our centre, or making a booking (online, over the phone, or in person), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. About Us
The Hive Play is a soft play centre, baby & children's café, and creative community space located in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. Co-owned by Bobbi-Jo and Craig Richardson, The Hive Play is designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for young families.

2. Acceptance of Terms
2.1 By making a booking or entering our premises, you accept these Terms & Conditions.
2.2 For online bookings, you may be asked to confirm: “I have read and agree to The Hive Play Terms & Conditions.” This ensures agreement before completing your booking.

3. Bookings
3.1 Bookings can be made:
Online via the website
Over the phone
In person at the centre
3.2 Payment terms will be explained at the time of booking.
3.3 While we aim to provide email confirmations, these cannot always be guaranteed. Bookings are valid once recorded in our system or confirmed by a staff member.

4. Refunds & Cancellations
4.1 Our refunds and cancellations policy is as stated on our website:

4.2 These terms apply to all bookings, including parties and events.

5. Arrival & Session Times
5.1 Pop In & Play sessions are flexible; no fixed arrival time is required.
5.2 For parties or structured sessions, guests must arrive at the specified time booked. Late arrivals cannot be extended.

6. Supervision & Safety
6.1 Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
6.2 Shoes must be removed in soft play areas; socks must be worn.
6.3 Guests must follow staff instructions and posted safety signage.
6.4 The Hive Play is not responsible for injuries caused by misuse of equipment or lack of supervision.

7. Behaviour
7.1 Unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour is not tolerated.
7.2 Staff reserve the right to ask any guest to leave. No refund will be provided in such cases.

8. Photography
8.1 Photo permission is obtained via the sign-in sheet upon entry.
8.2 If you do not consent to photography for you or your child, inform a staff member.
8.3 Please do not photograph other children without parental consent.

9. Food & Drink
9.1 Only food and drink purchased on-site may be consumed unless otherwise agreed.
9.2 We aim to cater for dietary requirements, but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
9.3 Guests must inform staff of allergies prior to ordering.

10. Personal Belongings
10.1 Personal items are the responsibility of guests.
10.2 The Hive Play is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items.

11. Intellectual Property
11.1 All content on our website, including text, images, and branding, belongs to The Hive Play.
11.2 No content may be copied or reproduced without written permission.

12. Liability
12.1 The Hive Play excludes liability for:
injuries from failure to supervise children
misuse of equipment
loss or damage of personal belongings
indirect or consequential losses
12.2 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
